Dr Peggy Beatty is an interspiritual teacher/guide with 20 years experience in spiritual guidance, contemplative studies and meditation practice. She is passionate about guiding people to healthy mind-body balance through meditative practices and learning. She is a certified Spiritual Director, through the Benedictine Community and holds an MA in Theological Studies, with an emphasis on mystical theology, contemplative prayer and psychology of contemplative practice. Dr Beatty is a current member of Spiritual Directors International.
In her earlier career, Dr Beatty was a research scientist and medical writer. She loves nature and beholds the Divine in all of life, a hallmark of mystical intuition. Thus, her spirituality is deeply grounded in the natural world and congruent with all religious themes through common truth in the perennial tradition. She is practiced in various forms of Buddhist, Hindu and Christian meditation and has completed extensive course work through Mindful Schools and NICABM (The National Institute for the Clinical Application of Behavioral Medicine) in mindfulness practice for adults and children. She writes about and teaches on mystical intuitives/intuition in all traditions, with emphasis on the Christian mystics.
Writing is Dr Beatty’s primary form of self expression. She has published in the areas of medical science, spirituality and poetry.
